THe trunk's story
In 2018, Dawn Waldal gave the inventory of Wild Country Wearables to the Garfield County Christian Youth Program to start The Community Trunk. The Trunk supported GCCYP until the program fulfilled its purpose in 2025. Now its own entity, The Commiunity Trunk has moved across the street to the Historic Chard Building to continue serving Pomeroy; and Pomeroy has supported the Trunk with dedicated volunteers, faithful shoppers and wonderful donations. Our first mission is to provide Pomeroy with a place to give and recieve time, talent and treasures; we strive to be able to bless our community by meeting other needs as they arise.
We are blessed with a family of volunteers whose hard work and dedication make what we do possible.
